Etappe die Tour de France aufgegeben. Der Garmin-Profi hatte sich in der ersten Woche das Handgelenk gebrochen, ob sein Ausscheiden damit zusammenhängt, ist noch nicht klar. 17:00 Samuel Dumoulin hat die Tour de France beendet. Aufgrund von Ermüdungserscheinungen trat der Franzose vom Cofidis-Team nicht mehr zur 12. Etappe an. Donnerstag, 15. Juli 19:00 Mark Renshaw wurde von der Tour de France-Jury disqualifiziert. Grund dafür waren Kopfstöße im Sprintfinale der 11. Etappe. Der Australier ist der zweite Ausfall im Team HTC-Columbia. 16:00 Auch Charles Wegelius stand heute nicht am Start der Etappe. Der Brite konnte in den letzten Tagen aufgrund von Magenproblemen kaum essen oder trinken. 15:00 Robert Hunter (Garmin) musste die Tour de France doch aufgeben. Nach seinem Sturz auf der 10. Etappe stand er zur 11. Etappe nicht mehr am Start. Er ist damit der zweite Ausfall im Team Garmin - Transitions. 11:10 Sollte Mark Cavendish heute zu seinem 13. Tour de France-Etappensieg sprinten, hätte er einen mehr als sein Mentor Erik Zabel - ob Cavendish aber jemals an dessen sechs grüne Trikots herankommen wird? Mittwoch, 14. Juli 23:00 Robert Hunter (Garmin) hat sich einen kleinen Bruch am Ellenbogen, bei einem Sturz auf der 10. Etappe, zugezogen. Er wird morgen jedoch an den Start gehen. 18:00 Tony Martins schwaches Auftreten in den Bergen liegt wohl an einem zu großen Trainingspensum im Vorfeld der Tour. Auch sein Programm mit Tour of California und Tour de Suisse sei zu viel gewesen. Sein neues Ziel für die Tour ist das Zeitfahren am vorletzten Tag. 15:00 Die Fahrer von Omega Pharma wurden nun mit neuen Helmen der Firma Specialized ausgestattet. Es ist das neueste Modell der Reihe S-Works Prevail. Dienstag, 13. Juli 18:00 Cadel Evans, der heute sein Gelbes Trikot verlor, fuhr die Etappe mit einem gebrochenem Ellenbogen. Es wurde bis nach der Etappe geheim gehalten, damit die Moral der Teamkollegen nicht sinkt und die Konkurrenten nicht früh angreifen. Die Verletzung zog sich Evans bei einem frühen Sturz auf der 8. Etappe am Sonntag zu. 12:00 Die französische Rundfahrthoffnung Christophe Le Mével wechselt zur neuen Saison zu Garmin Transitions. Der mögliche Nachfolger von Le Mével bei FDJ soll mit Pierrick Fédrigo schon feststehen. 11:50 Der Österreicher Markus Eibegger ist der dritte Ausfall beim Footon-Servetto Team. Er gab kurz nach dem Start der neunten Etappe auf. Montag, 12. Juli 21:00 Mit Vladimir Karpets wird der vierte Fahrer zur morgigen 9. Etappe nicht an den Start gehen. Am Ruhetag wurde ein Bruch eines Handknochens festgestellt. Wann sich Karpets diese Verletzung zuzog, ist noch unklar. 20:30 Die dritte Aufgabe des Ruhetags ist der junge Italiener Fabio Felline. Ob er aufgrund seines Sturzes am Sonntag aufgibt oder ob es die geplante Aufgabe ist, von der am Tour-Start gesprochen wurde, ist noch nicht bekannt. Felline, der für Footon Servetto fährt, war der jüngste Tour-Starter der 97. Ausgabe. 20:00 Auch für Roger Kluge ist die Frankreichrundfahrt beendet. Der Fahrer vom Team Milram brach sich bei einem Sturz am Sonntag das Kahnbein. 14:00 Heute ist Ruhetag? Nicht für Maxime Monfort. Der Belgier hat sich schon in der Nacht auf den Weg nach Belgien gemacht, um seine am Freitag geborene Tochter zu besuchen. Später nimmt er dann den Zug zurück, um morgen wieder am Start zu stehen. 13:00 Simon Gerrans wird nach dem Ruhetag nicht mehr an den Start gehen. Er brach sich auf der achten Etappe, sieben Kilometer vor dem Ziel, bei einem Sturz den Arm. Sonntag, 11. Juli 22:00 Christophe Moreau (Caisse d'Epargne), der momentan seine 15. Tour de France fährt, wird am Jahresende aller Voraussicht nach seine Karriere beenden. 21:00 Um sein Fußballnationalteam zu unterstützen, hat Karsten Kroon (BMC) zur heutigen Etappe oranges Lenkerband angebracht. Jedoch wird er, egal wie das Spiel ausgeht, das Band wieder entfernen, es würde einfach zu hässlich aussehen. 15:00 Für seine Prügelei auf der 6. Etappe, zusammen mit Rui Costa, wurde Carlos Barredo nun auch von seinem Team Quick Step bestraft. Der Spanier muss 1000 € Strafe zahlen. 10:00 Die französische Behörde gegen Umweltverschmutzung und für das Gesundheitswesen (OCLAESP) wird, wie schon 2009, nach Dopingmitteln während der Tour de France suchen. Besonders der Müll der Teams steht dabei im Mittelpunkt. Eine Ermittlung gegen Astana und Caisse d'Epargne aus dem Jahr 2009 läuft ebenfalls noch, damals wurden unter anderem Spritzen in dem Müll der Teams gefunden. Samstag, 10. Juli 20:00 Cola ist bei Bjarne Riis verboten und seine Fahrer müssen sich umstellen, Fabian Cancellara hat sich mit Orangina arrangiert. 19:00 Mit Stijn Vandenbergh (Katusha) gab es heute einen zweiten Ausfall auf der Etappe. Der Belgier gab alles, um Robbie McEwen zu unterstützen, fiel dann aber aus dem Zeitlimit. 13:00 Der Baske Juan Jose Oroz Ugalde ist zur heutigen 7. Etappe nicht mehr angetreten. Grund dafür sollen starke Kniebeschwerden sein. Er ist nach Amets Txurruka bereits der zweite Ausfall im Euskaltel Team.

Juli 16:10 Nachdem die französischen Teams schon fast alle Stagiaire-Plätze vergeben haben, haben nun auch andere Teams Stagiaires engagiert. Für Carmiooro - NGC werden Luciano Barindelli und Mirko Tedeschi fahren. Für Xacobeo Galicia gehen Pablo Torres und Aser Estevez an den Start. 16:10 Die Route der Eneco-Tour ist nun bekannt. Zwischen dem Prolog zum Auftakt und dem Abschlusszeitfahren drängen sich wieder viele Bestandteile der belgischen Klassiker. So sollen zum Beispiel auf der 3. Etappe einige Hellingen der Flandern-Rundfahrt gefahren werden, den Abschluss soll dabei der Oude Kwaremont kurz vor dem Ziel bilden. 16:10 Tom Boonen musste sich jetzt doch einer Operation am linken Knie unterziehen. Er wird drei bis vier Wochen nicht trainieren können. Ob Der Weltmeister von 2005 dieses Jahr noch mal Rennen bestreitet, ist noch offen. 10:50 Ex-Gerolsteiner-Manager Hans-Michael Holczer hat angekündigt im Herbst diesen Jahres ein Buch herauszubringen, in dem es vor allem um die Dopingfälle im Team Gerolsteiner und explizit um Levi Leipheimer (im Zuge der Landis-Vorwürfe) gehen soll. Auch eine Budgetkürzung auf fünf Millionen würde der Niederländer ihn Kauf nehmen. Für das Jahr 2010 hatte er noch einen Betrag von 8,9 Millionen Euro zur Verfügung. 19:30 Lance Armstrong hat erklärt, er könne sich eine Zusammenarbeit mit den US-Behörden vorstellen, um die Vorwürfe von Floyd Landis zu klären. Es sind William Clarke (Australien), Thomas Bonnin (Albi VS/Frankreich) und Mathieu Teychenne (Chambery/Frankreich). Montag, 12. Juli 22:20 Die diesjährige Route der Tour de l'Avenir wurde vorgestellt. Nach einem Prolog über 5,8 km in Vierzon, folgen zwei Bergankünfte am Col du Beal und in Risoul. Bevor dann am letzten Tag ein Bergzeitfahren erneut nach Risoul die Rundfahrt beendet. Risoul war dieses Jahr bereits Bestandteil des Critérium du Dauphiné, als Nicolas Vogondy vor Romain Sicard gewann. 16:00 Bjarne Riis hat zwei Nachfolger für seinen scheidenden Teamsponsor Saxobank gefunden. Der bisherige Co-Sponsor Sungard wird, wie ein zweites bihser nicht namentlich genanntes Unternehmen, Namenssponsor. Das zweite Unternehmen wird auf eigenen Wunsch erst nach der Tour präsentiert. Grund dafür sollen Werbestrategien des Sponsors sein. 15:00 Nach Cofidis möchte nun auch Vacansoleil eine ProTour Lizenz für die Saison 2011. Dies bestätigte Teammanger Daan Luijkx im niederländischen Fernsehen. Sonntag, 11. Juli 23:00 In Kolumbien soll ein neues ProContinental Team entstehen, das dann 2011 an der Spanienrundfahrt teilnehmen soll. Das Team soll auf Grundlage des Café de Colombia-Colombia es Pasión-Teams entstehen. 09:50 Laurent Jalabert (französischer Nationaltrainer) wird nach dem schwachen Straßenrennen bei der WM 2009 die Nominierungskriterien anpassen. So sollen nur Fahrer nominiert werden, die im Vorfeld die Vuelta a Espana gefahren sind. Fahrer, die sich mit der Spanienrundfahrt vorbereitet hatten, hatten in der Vergangenheit oft die Weltmeisterschaften dominiert. Samstag, 10. Juli 23:00 Jean-René Bernaudeau, Manager des Teams Bbox, soll sich in fortgeschrittenen Gesprächen mit der französischen Post als Nachfolgesponsor befinden. Bouygues Telecom hatte das Team seit 2005 gesponsert. 20:00 Grégory Barteau wird Stagiaire bei Landbouwkrediet, bisher fuhr der junge Franzose für CC Étupes. Sein Vater, Vincent Barteau, trug während der Tour de France 1984 das Gelbe Trikot. 14:20 Lance Armstrong hat entgegen ursprünglichen Berichten zweimal Geld an die UCI überwiesen. Zuvor war nur von eine Überweisung die Rede. Der UCI Präsident Pat McQuaid bestätigte dies nun. Der Geldbetrag soll sich insgesamt auf 125.000 Euro belaufen.
